This series is a practice of listening to subtleties, of noticing patterns that have echoed through time, of simply reconsidering my state. The works are a reflection on the energetic web that connects our world—all rooted in the same ground, extending from the same point. Every choice, every movement, and every response affects the collective. 

Each painting begins at one point. Lines, shapes, pigments, planes emerge with intention for the whole. My process is soft, slow and simple as each mark is made deliberately. At this quieter pace, I hear the language of color and feel the significance in each color placed. 

Every gesture evokes a reaction, altering the balance. An entire painting shifts when introducing just a tiny bit of cobalt or a bit of black in one corner…when violet and lemon are placed adjacent, the tension ignites a kind of spark… adding mossy green next to orange shifts the expression from fiery to subdued. The vibration of the work evolves with every addition. 

These works feel like meditations or prayers seeking clarity and balance.They hold discomfort and resolution, fear and hope, curiosity and discovery in the push and pull of layered color. When connected and listening, the work flows.  Just one coloring can shift to muddled disorder or illuminated bliss.
